We manage infrastructure so you don't have to

    1 December 2022

When Telcom Networks first launched, we made it easier for developers and landlords to build and own their own duct and fibre networks while minimising the infrastructure management burden. In the past 8 years, however, full fibre network deployment has rocketed, which means the appetite for alternative network (Altnets) providers to access existing duct space is more than most landlords can handle. Landlords with private duct networks are now expected to be telecommunications expects in terms of how they offer and facilitate communication provider interconnection and traversal of their private estate networks.

    PureBroadband - Reimagining business broadband

    13 October 2022

In telecommunications, a broadband signalling method is one that handles a wide band of frequencies. As such the term "Broadband" is considered to be relative and understood according to its context. The wider (or broader) the bandwidth of a channel, the greater the data-carrying capacity, given the same channel quality.

Business costs and inflation are at an all-time high, with the UK’s RPI (retail prices index) rate expected to rise to 9.8% this year. Nonetheless, even after this incredibly challenging period, our passion and love for what we do and our ethos to maintain a customer obsession has not dwindled.

Along with extending our £2,500 Gigabit Voucher Scheme discount, Telcom are mindful that the immediate financial impact of the coronavirus has been severe to many and businesses are looking at what financial support is available from their service providers. This is why we have created the ‘Bounce Back Connection Scheme’ to support the businesses that need it the most right now.

  6. On Thursday 14th May at 1pm, the UK government ended their GBVS (Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme) which gave SME’s a grant of £2,500 towards the cost of their internet connection. As the installation fees for 36 month+ contracts are typically built into your monthly cost, the value of the grant equated to just under a £70 per month discount.

    Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme

    25 March 2019

Here at Telcom we recognise that world-class internet infrastructure is essential to ensure the UK’s future competitiveness, it enables us to remain at the forefront of technology and continue the tradition of invention and innovation we are proud of in the UK. Faster and more reliable connections are transforming the way we live and work, and better connectivity supports businesses to grow. The Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme run by The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), enables small and medium-sized businesses around the UK to benefit from full-fibre connections. With most superfast connections still dependant on copper telephone wires, which are limited in the speeds they can support, a full fibre infrastructure is required to enable gigabit connection.
