Telcom Group launch GigaBritain to the Channel
Telcom Group, the leading provider of hyperfast business connectivity, announced the launch of GigaBritain™ to channel partners at its event held at The Stables in Manchester last week. Channel partners were excited to hear about the opportunity to work alongside Telcom offering customers access to reliable hyperfast 10Gbps connectivity in as little as 20 days with a 100% uptime guarantee available.
Telcom has been a leading provider of hyperfast business internet for over 10 years, building and managing its own full fibre and fixed wireless network in Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool and soon to be Cardiff. Telcom Group also recently added London to its network coverage after the recent acquisition of Luminet, making Telcom the largest B2B fixed wireless and fibre network provider in the UK. To ensure national coverage, Telcom has also partnered with national carriers such as BT Wholesale, Virgin Media Business and Sky Business to further underpin the GigaBritain™ movement.
Will Goodall, Head of Wholesale and Carrier, Telcom comments, “The event was a great success and we were delighted at the partners’ reaction to GigaBritain, informing us that it was a relief to finally see a company focusing on the personal side of business rather than the transactional side. As expected, many of them said that our presence in the channel is like a breath of fresh air and this change in the industry is long overdue. Unlike other channel providers who can’t be flexible, our dedicated partner delivery team and in-house engineering means we can own expectation setting and adapt to the end user requirements of every partner.
We are a dynamic company that thrives on change and having the agility to meet customers’ needs. We look forward to working with our new channel partners on this exciting journey and to their help in building GigaBritain together to suit their requirements and their customers.”
Britain lacks a fit-for-purpose internet infrastructure to support our increasing demands for business data and we are lagging behind 34 other countries in the world (Source: M-Lab) which is hindering our economic growth. One of the biggest challenges Telcom is seeing on a daily basis from customers and partners is the time it takes to get connected which is typically from 90 to 120 days! Telecom is transforming business internet connectivity with connection times of as little as 20 days on its own network and 24 hours in hundreds of Preconnect® buildings across the country.
Through the new GigaBritain™ wholesale portal, partners can access and compare real time availability, delivery lead times and live pricing from all carrier partners 24/7.
Alex Morris, Managing Director, Metrotech Solutions comments, “Telcom has brought something new to the channel, by building its own full fibre and fixed wireless network and we are excited to be part of it. Large carriers are difficult to work with as they are not flexible and agile enough, whereas Telcom is very much a key strategic partner to our business who we enjoy working with. Its service delivery team, and portal makes our lives easier and of course the fact they have their own team of over 120 civil, infrastructure and network engineers helps enormously.”
Join Telcom on this journey to build ‘GigaBritain’ together, to fuel a better future and accelerate our digital economy.
